My Work
I am an Accredited and Registered member of the BACP and have a BPS (British Psychological Society) approved Certificate in Supervision. The primary focus of the work within clinical supervision is all aspects of clinical practice in order to work as effectively, safely and ethically as possible.
My supervision style reflects my integrative way of working as a counsellor therefore I use a variety of methods during our supervision sessions together. This means that sessions can be tailored to suit the individual needs of my supervisees.
Working Ethically
The BACP recommends that anyone who is providing therapeutically based services and are working in roles that require regularly giving or receiving emotionally challenging communications or who are engaging in relationally complex and challenging roles should undertake regular supervision.
Counsellors should have a minimum of 1.5 hours of supervision per month in order to practise ethically. Counsellors who carry a heavy caseload are responsible for adjusting their levels of supervision accordingly so that they feel well supported.
Confidentiality
It is recognised that whatever you disclose professionally or personally within supervision should be treated with a high level of discretion. All thoughts and feelings disclosed within clinical supervision are absolutely confidential.
Confidentiality may only be broken if disclosure is indicative of a serious mental health problem or is relating to behaviour which breaches of the code of conduct within the BACP’s ethical framework, your professional code of conduct, your organisation policy, or any issues relating to a serious risk of harm to self or others
Wherever possible, any concerns would be shared with you and permission sought before anyone else would be contacted.
There may circumstances where disclosures may be shared with my own supervisor if advice and support are required.
I am an accredited and registered Counsellor & Psychotherapist with the BACP with over 14 years experience of working with individuals, couples and therapeutic groups in a variety of settings.

Clinical Supervision
I offer Supervision to counsellors/psychotherapists and any professionals and workers in therapeutic settings with either a formal or informal counselling, listening service or support worker role.
My aim is to create a safe and supportive environment for both professional and personal disclosure and release.
Within the strong bond of mutual trust and respect of the supervisory relationship, I facilitate my supervisees to take an active role in sessions, to talk about any issues arising from their practice and to express emotions freely.
Sessions aim to provide a space for thinking, reflection, gaining of insight and creativity. I hope to empower my supervisees by acknowledging and validating their worth, values and strengths, by sharing my knowledge and experience and by giving constructive feedback.
